Californian massage is derivative form of Swedish massage that consists of fluid movements. It is known as relaxing massage because of the relaxation that is brought on by the fluid strokes.
Californian massage is performed with scented oils to assist in the gliding movements across the body, as well as to help aid relaxation. The use of oils makes possible friction which otherwise would be restricted in order to avoid irritation. The combination of special techniques and use of essential oils brings the ultimate relaxation experience.
The session starts with very light movements and it increases in strength and depth allowing the body to adapt. The Californian massage includes lifting, stretching and rocking the limbs. The untreated body is covered with a sheet or a blanket.
