Massage tools and supplies

As a minimum, a massage therapist needs the following supplies and tools:  massage table, or massage chair for corporate massage, towels, linens, and depending of therapist’s and client’s preference: massage oils, baby powder, massage lotion, essential oils, and cleaning supplies.

Don't be cheap, try to buy quality supplies, even if you are only doing this for fun. Buying a bad oil is a bad idea and is a losing move anyway. If you applying a bad oil on your client's skin it will make you lose the client, if you can't afford to lose the client you will lose the bad oil which is the best of the two solutions. So try to buy good quality supplies search on Internet for reviews, ask your colleagues what they use. Use 100% cotton sheets and towels, they create less reaction on the skin. The massage table has to be picked to suit your needs. Do you need a portable one?

Try to buy fragrance free cleaning supplies and hypoallergenic. Some people are very sensitive to cleaning products.

Massaging Tools

There are also tools that try to replace the work of massage therapist. I searched for a long time a device that will successfully emulate such work. I never found one to satisfy me. However when a Massage therapist is not available or no suited some of the products on the market can aid in replacing some of his work.

We can find a lot of interesting tools on the market: massaging chairs, (also called massage chairs - to not be confused with the massage chairs used for Corporate Massage), massage pads, feet massagers, electric massagers - which are basically - vibrator devices that massage a small area. These are very useful to Massage Therapists because they can successfully replace the therapist when it comes to vibration.
